The Inspiration

Sunrise in the backfield of the farm the Author lives on

Living on a farm these past few years has been my greatest teacher. I’ve watched tomatoes thrive without chemicals, seen beneficial insects create their own balanced ecosystems, and learned that nature has been the master gardener all along. Every season brought new discoveries – from the magic of companion planting to the art of building healthy soil that practically grows itself.

What started as my own journey observing and then experimenting with natural/organic gardening myself has amassed into a library of knowledge that even my friend, a plant and soil expert, is impressed by.

That’s when my two worlds collided. As a instructional designer professional, I realized I could create meaningful learning experiences that help families discover the joy of natural, organic gardening – not through overwhelming information, but through offering carefully curated resources and inspiring stories. I am even creating an introductory course called Natural Farming for Families.

Whether you’re staring at your first patch of soil or ready to transition your existing garden and/or trying to up your cooking and preserving game – as a family – stick around!
